Bicycling helps in fighting weight issuest has been seen that women who has cycled for decreased their cycling time from more than 15 minutes a day to less than 15 minutes gained about four-and-a-half pounds on average.

It was stated that bicycle helps fight issues pertaining to weight for the women aged between their 30s and 40s will have the same effect as that of brisk walking which helps in trimming down the weight.

The observational study took data of Harvard Nurses’ Health, that tracks 1, 16,608 female nurses, who were asked questions about their health, weight, diet and behavior.

It was published that women who increased their physical exercise such as brisk walking and bicycling by 30 minutes a day tend to lose pounds faster than those who did slow walking.

On the other women who decreased their cycling time for 15 minutes jotted up about four-and-a-half pounds on average.

Anne C Lusk, a research fellow at the Harvard School of Public Health said, “This is not suggesting that if you bicycle for five minutes you will immediately go back to the weight you were when you were 18. But it’s highly suggestive that bicycling is highly beneficial in women.”
