Bhutia donated Rs 1.20 lakh for victims of cycloneIndian star footballer Bhaichung Bhutia has donated Rs 1.20 lakh for the victims of cyclone in the West Bengal.

Through auction of his three jerseys and 10 autographed footballs, Bhutia raised Rs 60,000 for cyclone victims at a function in the Gymkhana Club in Darjeeling last night.

The organizers of the event said that Mr. Bhutia has donated Rs 1.20 lakh for the cyclone victims during the function in the Gymkhana Club in Darjeeling last night. Organisers further said that the three jerseys auctioned by Bhutia includes one he wore during the Asian Football Championship 2008 and Nehru Cup in 2007 and some autographed footballs were also auctioned at the function.

Mr. Bhutia had recently won a dance competition and he also danced a few steps at the function to thrill his fans. Bhutia's choreographer Sonia was also present at the function. Bhutia also promised to donate Rs 30,000 to his fan club in Darjeeling which will organize a football tournament in the Darjeeling hills.
