Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has announced a 15-member squad for match against Maharashtra in the Ranji Trophy to be held in Pune from November 3-6.

The Bengal selection committee led by CAB president Jagmohan Dalmiya named the squad led by Laxmi Ratan Shukla for the elite group of Ranji Trophy on Wednesday.

Many changes were expected in the Bengal team after crashing out Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Twenty20 tournament, but Bengal selectors have showed their faith in the senior players and included Deep Dasgupta, Rohan Gavaskar into the squad.

Bengal had lost three matches in a row resulting in their exit in the first round of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Twenty20 tournament. Anustup Mazumdar has been axed from the squad.

Bengal squad for the Ranji Trophy includes Laxmi Ratan Shukla (captain), Deep Dasgupta, Wriddhiman Saha, Arindam Das, Manoj Tiwary, Abhishek Jhunjhunwala, Rohan Gavaskar, Dibyendu Chakraborty, Ranadeb Bose, Ashok Dinda, Sourav Sarkar, Sourashish Lahiri, Shibsagar Singh, Iresh Saxena and Arindam Ghosh.
