BCCI shifts second ODI to GwaliorThe Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shifted the second one day international match against South Africa from Kanpur to Gwalior due to rent disputes with the Kanpur administration.

Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) officials admitted that the match has been shifted after the Kanpur divisional commissioner L Venkateshwarlu refused to give permission for holding the match at Kanpur.

The officials added that  administration was seeking Rs 1 crore from the association as rent for hosting the match at the venue even after they had agreed to pay tickets of worth Rs 50 000 to the administration.

The second ODI will be played at the Captain Roop Singh Stadium on 24th February and South Africa’s touring security will inspect the stadium before clearing the venue for holding the match. Gwalior had hosted last match in November 2008 when India played against arch rivals Pakistan

India will play three one day international matches against South Africa after two test matches series. The first ODI will be held at Jaipur on 21st February while the third match will be played at Ahmedabad on 27th February.
