Barbecue Smoke Incident Video goes Viral

Just few days back, a video has been posted on the internet that shows conversation between a group of people and county environmentalist over the smell and smoke coming from their backyard. The video has gone viral and millions have already viewed it.

The video shows Chris Matt of St. Petersburg, Fla., a backyard barbecue guy, interacting with Pinellas County, Fla., environmental specialist Joe Graham, who has come to their place because a neighbor across the street has complained about Matt's barbecue.

Surprising thing is that it is not the first time when she has complained. Matt said that whenever they fire up their backyard barbecue, their neighbor files a complaint. As per the brothers, Matt and Dewayne, the woman has gone to an extent to call the police, fire department, code enforcement and this time, she has called the Pinellas County Air Quality Environmental Manager.

The video shows the officer standing in Matt's driveway and tells them that the smoke and barbecue odor has been coming from backyard. As per the officer, the smell and smoke should remain contained in their property only.

Matt said that smoke goes to places where wind blow and it cannot be controlled. Since 2014, 15 complaints have been filed about the same matter. Graham said to Matt that he can smell barbecue on the street.

Matt affirmed, "Everybody can cookout except me. Come on, man. Come on, man. Every time I barbecue she calls the police".

Graham said that there is no problem if the smoke stayed on Matt's property, but it had crossed the property line. No fine or citation has been levied, said officials and they have been trying to sort out things between the neighbors.
