Bangladesh clean sweeps West Indies in ODI series
Bangladesh has defeated West Indies by 3 wickets in the final ODI match of the one-day series at Warner Park in St Kitts on Friday. With this win Bangladesh has clean swept West Indies by 3-0 in the ODI series.
West Indies set target of 249 runs for Bangladesh after they bundled out for 248 runs on the board in 47.4 overs. A Fletcher was top scorer for West Indies, who scored 52 runs.
Junaid Siddique and Mahmudullah scored brilliant half centuries as Bangladesh chased the target with three wickets in the hand. Siddique scored 55 runs from 73 balls while Mahmudullah smashed unbeaten 51 runs from 70 balls.
Bangladesh was once struggling on 183 runs with loss of six wickets but Mahmudullah and N Islam (26) helped Bangladesh to overcome from early batting collapse. Mahmudullah was declared man of the match for his brilliant performance in the match. He was also adjudged player of the series for his good performance with bat and ball.
