Akmal Saleh in anti-internet filtering video for kids

Akmal-SalehPopular Aussie comedian Akmal Saleh is going to make new campaign called "It's time to tell Mum". He is now taking the fight over the Rudd government's mandatory internet filter to the children.

The campaign has been launched on this morning by Electronic Frontiers Australia. This campaign exactly aims to warn ordinary people that the controversial ISP filter won't protect families against any online dangers.

The chairperson of EFA, Mr. Colin Jacobs has informed that the government has taken this policy as a 'cyber-safety' tool to help parents and their children can be prevented from cyber threats.

But later it has been found that it is providing parents false sense of security and actually lessens the supervision kids get online.

In his four minutes video the comedian Akmal Saleh has send up ponderous Question Time responses on filtering and compares the government's predilection for "keeping secrets" with the Catholic Church's cover-up of child sexual abuse among its clergy. The EFA has produced the five reasons why mums should learn about mandatory filtering.
