Would be mothers can expect obese babies

Smoking-PregnancyThe findings of a study revealed that children of women who smoked during pregnancy days ended becoming obese in their teenage days.

Grounding to the fact was researchers observed that ones who were exposed to cigarette smoke while in the womb developed more fat than their non-exposed peers later in life time.

Precisely they ended up having a third more fat around their internal organs and 26 per cent more fat directly under the skin.

Zdenka Pausova one of the key investigators highlighted upon other findings that provided other reasons for expectant mothers to give up smoking.

He stressed that nicotine present in cigarette smoke, sets into the baby's body and stays there in higher quantities and for a longer than in the mother's.

This corresponds to the research perfumed on animals where nicotine was induced prenatally and thus, influences certain parts of the brain, including those that regulated the digestion of food and burning of calories.
