Hamburg - Computer users can disable pop-ups in Microsoft Windows' Live Mail alerting them that they can compress their news archives. 

Those annoying little pop-ups can be switched off. Start Live Mail and press the Alt key. Then, open the Services menu, accessible under Extras/Options/More Options, and unclick the "database all" option. (dpa)
