VW Tiguan with wireless Internet access
Wolfsburg, Germany - Volkswagen is testing a wireless mobile Internet WLAN access on a VW Tiguan which it presented recently at the International Suppliers Fair (IZB) in Wolfsburg.
The Tiguan is in constant contact with the Internet portal, which provides it with information on current events in the city and various search engines. The selected information then appears in the display of the navigation system.
In addition, the auto@web allows the driver to check whether the car doors are locked or whether the tank is full - from the PC at home PC or from an iPod. It can also upload a map of the walking route from the parking space to the final destination onto a mobile device or show the place where the car is parked. (dpa)
