Vroom: Movie Review!
A researcher, Dr. Ramanujam, (Paintal) is making a secret AI chip, and an evil goon, Mr. X wants it.
As a part of his plan, Mr. X sends Girgit (Navneen Prabhakar) and Diana (Delna Mody) to steal AI chip, but Dr. Ramanujam manages to run away with it and places the chip in a car.
After fitting the AI chip, the car gets its own brain and starts playing tricks on his new holder and the people around him until it gets a new owner in the form of Rahul (Gaurav Bajaj) and his elder brother and his wife.
Rahul, who is an automobile engineer, is a car buff. He often helps everyone in the neighborhood comprising Mrs. Dadabhoy, the Parsi neighbour (Daisy Irani).
Rahul loves Pooja (Nina Sarkar) a girl who resides in the same locality but invites the wrath of the rich kids around. They have a tussle but ultimately the car, which Rahul names Smarty, helps him get his true love plus arrest the evil goons.
Director Savin Tuscano's film is a light-hearted comedy that aims to entertain the kids. The director attains success in some parts while the remaining failed to grab audience interest.
Gaurav Bajaj was good while Nina Sarkar looked impressive in her debut role.
The performances by Paintal and Daisy Irani were not upto the mark. Naveen Prabhakar who played the role of a comic goon Girgit and Delna Mody, the female villain, succeed in deriving a few laughs.
The film is not a failure but it doesn't provide anything new. However, the film holds some appeal for children. Let them watch it if they have nothing else to do. (With Inputs from Agencies)
