Leading telecom service provider, Vodafone India, which is a part of the British telecom giant, has announced the launch of new internet trail packs for its mobile subscribers in the Indian market in order to encourage usage of internet in the country.
The company has announced new trial packs for both its 2G and 3G subscribers in the Indian market.
The new 2G plan will be priced at Rs. 25 and the 3G plan would cost Rs. 49 and will be available to both prepaid as well as post-paid customers in the country. The company said that prepaid users, who are already using an internet pack will be able to over right their current plan with the trail pack. As for post-paid customers, the trail pack would be additional and the customer will be moved back to the existing plan when the trail pack is finished.
The company said that the plan will work for 7 days and the plan will not be auto renewed as the service will show existing internet plans for renewal.
"Our core objective is to drive mobile internet adoption among non-internet users. In our endeavour to provide differentiated experience to our customer, we have introduced a new category of trial packs to make mobile internet more interesting, less intimidating for them. We see tremendous potential in this offer as non-users will be able to discover the benefits of mobile internet and how it can change their lives," said Vivek Mathur, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India.
