US inflation rate 0.4 per cent in February
Washington - US consumer prices climbed 0.4 per cent in February, the largest increase in 7 months as the United States battles a deep recession, the Labour Department said Wednesday.
February's rising inflation rate followed a 0.3-per-cent increase in prices the month before. Excluding more volatile food and energy prices, inflation stood at 0.2 per cent on the month, the department said. (dpa)
