TV technician accidentally airs porn movie on channel

TV PlasmaMelbourne, Apr 2 : A technician at a French Polynesian television station was suspended from work after unintentionally broadcasting a porn film he thought he was watching all by himself.

However, the movie was being screened accidentally and resulted in a bombardment of angry calls by viewers to the Tahiti Nui television network.

According to Haupert Ives, general director of TNTV, the technician was suspended from work without pay for a week after the mix-up.

Ives revealed that about three minutes of the adult program was on air of which 52 seconds was explicit porn.

"It is funny, yes, but not really to us," News. com. au quoted Ives, as saying.

The blunder occurred at about 2pm on March 3, just 20 minutes after a religious program on the channel ended.

Ives said that it all happened because the staff member made two errors and resulted in part of the porn movie making it to air.

"He had to tape a program coming in from satellite from Paris. During this time he looked at some adult programs on another channel," he said.

He added: "He didn't see that he taped not the program that came in by satellite, but the channel he was looking at. This program was taped on the server on the computer. His second error was that he didn't verify the program. Normally after you tape the program and afterwards it is verified.” (ANI)
