The Etios concept car of the world's largest automaker, Toyota is expected to be launched by the end of this year or early next year. In fact, Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing director has recently said that the company is expecting its small car to compete with products such as Swift, i20 and Polo in the Indian market.

Experts believe that the company will have to follow an aggressive pricing strategy to make a place for itself in the crowded small car market.

The company showcased Etios at the 10th auto expo in the Capital that will be launched in Indian market first before making its presence felt in the other markets that the company is targeting for its small car. The sedan version of the Etios is expected to compete with Manza and Dzire wherein the company has still not confirmed which will be the first version that the company will launch in the Indian market.

However, the company is accelerating its pace as far as developing a dealer network in the country is concerned as its aim to be present as close to the consumer as possible for its small car sales in the Indian market.
