Toyota to release updates third-generation Yaris this fall
Japanese auto major, Toyota is all set to release the third generation version of its popular, Yaris this fall aiming to attract huge number of new buyers.
The company said that it will offer Touch and Go touch-screen navigation system for free in the first six months of sales for new Yaris TR and then it will be offered as an add-on for additional £500.
The new model will come with Toyota Touch integrated control system, 15 inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port, a rear-view camera, air conditioning, leather trim details, seven airbags, and vehicle stability control as standard.
Toyota sited CAP monitor figures and claimed that the new Yaris family will hold between 39 and 42 per cent of its original value after three years or 30,000 miles. The models with Toyota Touch and Go system have the value even longer.
Toyota also revealed more information about higher end models including the VVT-I SR and top of the range, T Spirit .the company expects the VVT-i TR to be most popular version. VVT-i TR will be come with an all included rice tag of about £13,260.
Meanwhile, the company’s European business unit has said on Friday that it is planning to resume round-the-clock production in January following the launch of Yaris within this year. Toyota Motor Manufacturing France, which manufacturers the model, will begin three-shift operations on Jan. 3, 2012. The resumption of full production will create 800 new jobs in the market.
