Baghdad - Three Iraqis were killed in an armed attack by unknown gunmen in south-western Kirkuk, police said on Wednesday.

A group of armed men opened fire on a civilian car on the main road between Kirkuk and Rashad in the south-west of the region on Tuesday night, killing three and injuring one, Voices of Iraq (VOI) news agency reported.

Kirkuk is 250 kilometres north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. (dpa)
