Three Indian origin scientists have created artificial life in US lab
There were three Indians in the team of 24- member which have created an artificial life cell in US. These three Indian origin scientists are a part of the team which has created a synthetic cell for the first time, which is controlled by genetic man made instructions and it can also be reproduced.
The names of these three Indians are Sanjay Vashee, Radha Krishnakumar and Prashanth P. Parmar. The genomics pioneer Craig Venter has over viewed the entire project. After this invention he has said that it has been the first synthetic cell ever. At a cost of $30 million the total project has been developed by the researchers at J. Craig Venter Institute.
The one cell on which the experiment is going on, makes a way to the manipulation of life on previously unachievable scale, reported the Wall Street Journal. According to the experts and the scientists those who have taken part in the project have revealed that literally this has been a turning point of the relationship of human and nature. The scientists have also added that it has the potential power itself for transforming of the genetic engineering.
