Rajasthan re-polling on Dec. 7The Election Commission of India has announced that re-polling will be held in Rajasthan on 7th December.

Earlier, the date was fixed on 6 Dec.

Chief Electoral Office has recommended in Jaipur on Friday that repolling in about three dozen polling booths in the districts of Ajmer, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Dausa, Dholpur, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Kota and Sawaimadhopur.

Repolling was recommended by the respective returning officers after complaints of rigging, EVM malfunctioning, and booth-capturing during polling in the desert state on Thursday.

The single judge bench of Justice B K Patal, which had earlier completed hearing on the nun's petition, did not, however, fix any date for the TIP.

Accordingly the prosecution (crime branch of Orissa police) was directed to make an application before the court of the sub-divisional judicial magistrate at Baliguda in Kandhamal district for further action.

Aurobindo Gets Tentative USFDA Nod For Two Drugs Aurobindo Pharma, a leading drug manufacturer, has announced that it has got tentative sanction from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for PerindopriL Erbumine tablets.

The approval has been granted for 2 mg, 4 mg and 8 mg dosage of drug.

According to the sources, PerindopriL Erbumine tablets are indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure.  
 
The sources further revealed that the conglomerate has also received tentative approval for Escitalopram Oxalat Oral solution 5 mg base/5 ml.

Five policemen killed in Maoist attackFive policemen of a patrolling party were killed on Friday in Jharkhand when Maoists waiting in dense forest ambushed them.

The incident happened in Ranchi district's Silli area, about 50 km from the state capital.

The dead policemen were part of the Special Task Force (STF) of Jharkhand police.

"The STF personnel were returning after inspecting a bank near the Rahe outpost in Silli, when Maoists, waiting in the dense forest, ambushed them," said Inspector General of Police S N Pradhan.
