 We may field candidates on three seats left for Congress: Lalu PrasadNew Delhi, Mar 21 : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Saturday said his party and the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) would contest in three Lok Sabha constituencies now held by the Congress in the state.

His statement came after Congress announced to contest 37 seats in Bihar.

"If Congress is so strong, why were they demanding more seats from us? Instead, we should have demanded the seats from them," Lalu said.

Congress to contest 37 seats in Bihar

 Congress to contest 37 seats in BiharNew Delhi, Mar 21 : The Congress Party on Saturday announced that it will contest 37 of the 40 seats in Bihar, leaving only three seats for the Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP).

"We have decided to contest 37 seats in Bihar. We want to leave three seats, two on which Lalu Prasad would contest and one on which Ram Vilas Paswan would contest," senior Congress leader Sushil Kumar Shinde told reporters here.

Vajpayee undergoes health check-up at AIIMSNew Delhi, Mar 21 : Former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on Saturday underwent a regular medical check-up at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) here.

Vajpayee was admitted on Friday evening, three weeks after he was discharged from the same hospital. He will be discharged on Sunday.

According to hospital officials, the BJP leader has been admitted in the hospital for routine follow up and investigations.
