Even 25 years after Operation Bluestar, the controversy over missing Sikh manuscripts from the Golden Temple's Sikh Reference Library refuses to die down.

Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Thursday asked the Centre to come clean and treat the issue with respect as Sikh sentiments were involved.

In response to the incubator tragedy at Patiala’s Rajindra hospital, Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal said on Tuesday that he would not accept the resignation letter of medical education minister Tikshan Sud as it’s not Sud’s fault.

As the shout for accepting the minister’s resignation bobbed up among the medical community following the death of five (5) newborn babies in the fire, Mr. Badal said that the report of a legal inquiry would clear everything so he would wait for the final report before taking any action.

Amritsar, Oct. 21 : Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today criticized Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray for indulging in extremism through his party''s anti-north Indian tirade.

MNS activists have attracted widespread criticism from across the country for recently beating up several North Indian youths, who were to appear for interviews for Indian Railways'' Grade IV jobs.

Expressing concern over the unusual face of politics emerging from Maharashtra, Badal said: "He (Raj Thackeray) is doing wrong. If the tension escalates, it could break the country."
