Madrid - Spain is willing to take "a limited number" of inmates from the US prison camp

Madrid - A high-level Vatican official on Friday declined to comment on allegations that Vatican decision-making is failing in the wake of the Bishop Williamson Holocaust denial scandal, replying with only one sentence: "We have no FBI."

Mexican Cardinal Javier Lozano Barragan, president of the Pontifical Council for Health, was commenting on the row in an interview published by the Spanish daily El Mundo.

Lozano Barragan described Williamson's denial of the Holocaust as a "stupidity," stressing the British-born bishop had already made the claims a year ago.

"Any one of us can say a stupidity, and are we going to be excommunicated for that?" the cardinal asked.

Madrid  - Barcelona have one foot in the final of the Spanish King's Cup after a handsome 2-0 home win over Mallorca on Thursday, in a one-sided cup semifinal first leg clash.

Barca have not made it to a final since 1998.

Veterans Thierry Henry and Rafa Marquez scored the goals, which reflected Barca's total domination.

Madrid - Vatican Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone on Thursday indirectly criticized Spain's liberal social reforms such as homosexual marriage, downgrading religious education in schools and plans to liberalize abortion.

Cardinal Bertone stressed the right to life and the importance of the heterosexual family in a lecture he gave at the headquarters of the Spanish Bishops' Conference after meeting Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, King Juan Carlos, the deputy prime minister and the foreign minister on Wednesday.

Madrid  - Sevilla came from behind Wednesday to beat Athletic Bilbao 2-1 in a lively King's Cup semi-final, first-leg clash.

Just as against Valencia in the quarter-finals, Sevilla needed an injury-time goal to win, this time from Argentine Lautaro Acosta.

"We refused to give up again," said Acosta, "and I think we deserved this win."
