Prince to host post-Oscar bash

Washington, Feb 12 : Pop star Prince is set to host yet another post-Oscar bash with some of the Hollywood's big names at his home.

The 50-year-old star played host to Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Sean ''Diddy'' Combs, Sean Penn and the night''s Oscar winners Marion Cotillard, Tilda Swinton and Javier Bardem in 2008, reports Contactmusic.

He's planning to organise another party after the Academy Awards this year.

Demi Moore, Madonna and entertainment mogul Guy Oseary will be hosting second annual post-Oscars party at Oseary''s Hollywood home.

Legendary singer Elton John will be raising cash for his AIDS Foundation at the Pacific Design Centre in Los Angeles.

US concerned over Netanyahu heading right-wing Israeli government

Washington, Feb 12 : A new study has indicated that lasers beamed from planes overhead are adding greater clarity to mapping streams and rivers and interpreting how well these bodies of water can help maintain or expand fish stocks.

Restoring habitat for spawning species of fish, such as Atlantic salmon, starts with a geological inventory of suitable rivers and streams, and the watershed systems that support them.

But, the high-tech mapping tools available to geologists and hydrologists have had their limits.

Now, airborne laser elevation (or lidar) surveys provide a 10-fold improvement in the precision with which topographical features are measured.
