Tata Motors eying a plant for small trucks

As the largest home-grown auto major Tata Motors has recently announced that the company is looking at setting up a new plant in India to manufacture small trucks, there are other players as well who are coming with all guns blazing.

In fact, the company's India head P.M. Telang recently said that the company may look at the option of setting up a plant for the manufacturing of small trucks in the Indian market.

It is to be mentioned here that the company has recently posted a forecast-beating 19.89 billion rupees quarterly profit and the company even expects to keep up the growth momentum even in the coming months.

Moreover, it may be noted here that the better than expected results were a result of the cost cutting measures taken by the company on the JLR brands.
