The team of TATA motors is visiting various locations in different states to shift the mother plant of Nano from Singur. Gujarat can be a favorite location for the company as per the reports from confidential sources. 

The MD of TATA Motors, Ravi Kant is likely to meet Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, to discuss the matter with the state government. Meanwhile, state chief minister has called a meeting of his cabinet to transfer land in Sanand to Ratan Tata for Nano car project.

Gujarat has suggested four locations for Nano plant in the state. These are located in Sanand, Mundra, Khambat and Dahej areas of state. However, the state is facing stiff competition from the states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka which are also interested to bag the project. These states are ready to give many economic and tax-related concessions to TATA.

It would be counted as an achievement of chief minister Narendra Modi in case TATA selects state for its ambitious project. Chief Minister is against any concessions to the industry. He, however, announced to provide industry friendly atmosphere in the state.
