Talk Talk warns against BT’s plan to build a broadband monopoly
UK's telecom giant, TalkTalk has said that the British Telecom is building a broadband monopoly using public finances.
The company also accused BT of planning to establish a control over fibre network in the country, something, it claims, would leave the UK with weakening infrastructure when compared to other European nations.
TalkTalk's group commercial director David Goldie said that BT's policies not in favor of the taxpayers of the country. "At all times BT is thinking about how it can recover the monopoly position that it lost many years ago," said David Goldie to a media outlet.
He said that by looking at the issue as a taxpayer, the process is only favoring only one party and hence is not beneficial to the market or taxpayers.
