Steve Jobs' massive luxury yacht, 'Venus,' unveiled
The big `Venus' luxury yacht, which Apple's late CEO Steve Jobs was working on before his death in October last year, has recently been unveiled; and Dutch blog One More Thing has posted some pictures and videos of the massive boat.
According to reports, Jobs - with some assistance form French designer Phillipe Stack - had been designing the massive luxury yacht stealthily for years; and wanted to ensure that the construction of the yacht included the application of a few of the distinctive design characteristics of the Apple devices.
The yacht - which has now been finished by Dutch custom yacht builders Feadship; and has been named `Venus' - measures approximately 80 meters, but is comparatively lighter as well as speedier than a typical yacht; thanks largely to its aluminum construction.
The amenities-load yacht boasts an exceptionally huge sun deck with a jacuzzi built in on its front. Behind the sun deck is an all-glass cabin which is topped with a conduit that features seven 27-inch iMacs to handle the navigation and controls of the boat.
Though the Jobs family is yet to decide as to what is to be done with the yacht, the people who have worked on the big boat have been handed out special iPod Shuffles which have the boat's name `Venus' engraved on the rear. In addition, they all have also received a card from the Jobs family as a mark of gratitude for their "hard work and craftsmanship."
