SPADAC announces addition of new biological surveillance capabilities to its portfolio
It has added new biological surveillance capabilities to its portfolio with the purchase of Veratect's assets, Virginia's SPADAC said on Monday.
It was reported that the geo-intelligence analysis intelligence solutions developer SPADAC, contracted for counter-terrorism support work by the Office of Naval Research among other organizations, announced it has acquired Veratect's intellectual property assets.
The acquisition provides SPADAC with Veratect's infectious disease risk situational awareness solutions adding to the company's risk analysis capabilities.
Mark Dumas, SPADAC chief executive officer, said in a statement, "Globally forecasting threats and risks is a core competency and it just made sense to add a biological surveillance layer to our offerings."
Combining Veratect's technologies with its current risk analysis solutions is a strategic initiative to better address evolving requirements from government contractors, SPADAC said further in a release. (With Inputs from Agencies)
