Skoda unveils face-lifted versions of the Octavia RS and Octavia Scout cars
You will shortly see the face-lifted versions of the Octavia RS and Octavia Scout in the Indian Market. The manufacturer of luxury cars, Skoda Auto has unveiled updated versions of its Octavia RS and Octavia Scout cars.
The face-lifted versions of the Skoda Octavia RS and the Skoda Octavia Scout feature a slew of design changes and new technological solutions, such as an air quality sensor for the Climatronic air conditioning system and a new illumination system.
The face-lifted Skoda Octavia RS features restyled front mask with an RS logo and bold headlamps, with xenon units combined with an adaptive front lighting module. The car also comes equipped with a wider and bolder induction aperture, and fog lamps with the Corner function and LED lamps for daytime lighting. The car wears a new metallic paint (Anthracite) and 18? Neptune wheels.
With sports-tuned chassis lowered to 127 mm, the petrol version of the Octavia RS comes with 20 kg reduced weight and the diesel version comes with 15 kg reduced weight. The air resistance has been reduced significantly to fetch positive impact on the overall performance of the car. The responsiveness and acceleration of the car have also been improved to fetch higher maximum speed to car.
Following the EU 5 standard, the engines of the Octavia RS include a 2.0 TSI/147 kW petrol unit with a consumption of 7.5 l/100 km and reduced CO2 emissions (175 g /km) and a 2.0 TDI CR/125 kW diesel engine (5.7l/100 km and 150 g/km, respectively). The engines come exclusively with a six-speed manual twin-clutch DSG transmission. Since 2000, over sixty thousand people have purchased Skoda Octavia RS.
On the other side, the face-lifted Skoda Octavia Scout features redesigned radiator mask, bold headlamps, fog lights with the Corner function, and the massive front bumper. The car wars new look and protective body in new metallic paint (Rosso Brunello). The car is suited for off-road driving with its 179 mm of clear height and efficient chassis protection.
The Octavia Scout also features fourth-generation Haldex clutch that is efficient enough to transfer 85 % of the maximum torque to a single wheel. The car will be launched in petrol and diesel versions equipped with powerful engines – petrol 1.8 TSI/118 kW (EU 5) and diesel 2.0 TDI PD DPF/103 kW (EU 4) respectively. Since 2000 that Octavia Scout has been purchased by over 22 thousand customers.
The face-lifted versions of the Octavia RS and Octavia Scout will be available through Fiat India shortly. The price info about different versions of these face-lifted cars is not available yet.
