Skoda India launches Superb 1.8 Petrol TSI in manual transmission

Skoda-SuperbBuoyed the success that the Skoda Superb is getting in the Indian market, ŠkodaAuto India, a fully owned subsidiary of SkodaAuto a. s (Czech Republic) has perfectly followed it up with the launch of Skoda Superb 1.8 TSI (Petrol) with Manual Transmission (MT).

In fact, Superb which was launched in March 2009 has been able to take the luxury car segment by storm giving Goosebumps to players like BMW and Mercedes.

Experts believe that the Superb gives the user a price of entry level luxury car segment price yet an elegant and mid-luxury level comfort. With the launch of the 1.8 petrol, it is expected that Skoda will strengthen its hold in the particular segment.

Thomas Kuehl, Board Member, Sales & Marketing, ŠkodaAuto explained the fact that the company is very much excited with the new addition in the portfolio and it once again shows Skoda's commitment to the Indian market and its consumers by adding new technology to its portfolio from time to time.

Notably, the company has decided to stop selling its bestseller Octavia in the 13 major cities where BS-IV norms have come into play.
