In a bid to promote contemporary art in the Indian market, the Czech auto major, Škoda Auto India and Seventy Event Management Group have come together to create and present a prestigious award called ‘The Škoda Prize’.

It is to be mentioned here that the event will be an annual celebration of outstanding work in contemporary art in the country and it will try to recognize and reward young Indian artists under the age of 45.

It may be note here that the jury panel for the Award is chaired by one of India’s most prominent art experts in the country today, Mrs. Tasneem Mehta, who is the Managing Trustee and Honorary Director of the Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum.

Moreover, the members on the Jury include Mrs. Rajshree Pathy and Dr. Kavita Singh. Dr. Kavita Singh is a well-known art historian.
