Six tourists back in Berlin after Egypt hostage ordeal
Berlin - Six tourists arrived in Berlin Tuesday, 11 days after being kidnapped during a holiday in Egypt.
Senior German officials met them in the military section of Berlin's Tegel Airport after a chartered Lufthansa airliner had landed with the three German men, two German women and a Romanian woman on board.
Officials said a squad of elite GSG9 German federal police, who had been sent to Egypt but were not needed in the rescue operation, also returned home from Cairo on the jet. (dpa)
