Sify selects Redline products for WiMAX network
Sify Technologies will use RedMAX products for implementing WiMAX technology in India. Redline Communications is a major wireless and broadband player in the wireless technology market. Sify is a major internet and enterprise service provider in India.
Currently, Sify will use RedMAX products for internet services in Delhi and Mumbai. It is also planning to deliver business class services in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai using cutting edge WiMAX technology. The company is expected to achieve its target with in a year.
Sify will deploy RedMAX Base Station (AN-100U) for voice and video support. The base station will support high traffic and high capability wireless broadband network. The other product Unit (SU-I) and Outdoor Subscriber Unit (SU-O) are designed to deliver residential services. Sify has already gained Federal Communications Commission (FCC) permission to use these products.
RedMAX 4C uses 802.16e-2005 wireless standard. It also supports Voice and Video over IP, broadband internet access, VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) and other communications services. Sify intends to boost its business in India by providing high class internet services to its clients. Chief architect of Sify Technologies Limited, Arvind Mathur expressed hope of reliable and high speed internet service using RedMAX products.
