Scotland's children hospital faces criticism
Recently, a children's hospital in the Scotland region had to face severe criticism on the grounds of blood on equipment, overflowing bins, and dirt and dust on wards soon after the inspectors finished their inspection process.
It is to be mentioned here that the Healthcare Environment Inspectorate (HEI) is of a view that improvements to the standards of cleaning were required after finishing with the unannounced visit to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children at Yorkhill in Glasgow.
For the record, the intensive care unit was labeled as one area that needed particular attention with a view to improve the standards of cleanliness in the hospital. On the other end, the Politicians in the area yesterday said the failings were a big concern for children and their parents.
Moreover, the health board has affirmed that it will start its work on the findings very soon.
It may be noted here that the HEI visited Yorkhill on 12 October which was focusing on the six different parts of the hospital. The inspectors in the inspection committee raised concerns on the waste disposal policies which were not fully implemented.
