Rupee Advances More Against US Dollar

Rupee Advances More Against US Dollar In early trade today, the Indian rupee slightly advanced further by 19 paise reaching the figure now to Rs 45.15 per US dollar. The above increased figures were cited while constant selling of the American currency by banks and exporters with dollar weakening overseas amid a recovery in the domestic equity market.

According to the reports, earlier the rupee resumed at Rs 45.17/18 per dollar on the Interbank Foreign Exchange as compared to last weekend’s closing figure of Rs 45.34/35 per dollar, but later it cited an increase and moved up to Rs 45.15 per dollar and stood at the same high before quoting at Rs 45.18/19 per dollar at 1030 hours.

Regarding the situation, a forex dealer also commented and said that the weakness of the greenback in global markets has prompted the banks and exporters to constantly export the dolloars, which has further majorly boosted the value of a rupee against the dollar.

On the other hand, value of dollar also cited a decline against the euro and other major currencies in the New York market yesterday. Moreover, US stock benchmark indices also were high by 1 per cent thereby regaining some of last week’s losses.
