The Star Plus's popular show "Perfect Bride" has got its winner.

It was a strong competition between the two final jodis including Rumpa-Hitesh & Priyanka-Rajbeer, but the amazing chemistry between Rumpa and Hitesh bagged the final prize.

Amidst much pomp and splendour, the winner was declared by Malaika Arora Khan. Everything was based on public voting.

This is the first time in the history of TV that a real wedding ceremony took place on small screen.

The lovely relationship and understanding between Rumpa and Hitesh Chauhan from Chandigarh impressed the viewers and got the highest votes.

On the other hand, Rajbeer and Priyanka became the first runner up.

While confirming the news, a source said, "Yes, the jodi of Rumpa-Hitesh have won the show "Perfect Bride' and they have got engaged too. It has been a time for great celebrations for both the families as they consented to their jodi. Though there were some reservations from the Rajbeer family for Priyanka."

"Priyanka and Rajbeer were disappointed but they took this sportingly and congratulated the winning jodi. It was a huge night of celebration on television," the source added.

Rumpa was guided all through by the "parkhis" including gorgeous Amrita Rao, multi-talented Shekhar Suman and hot Malaika Arora Khan in each and very state, assuring that she took the precise decision.

After winning the show, which ran for nearly three months with 10 brides from different parts of India, an elated Rumpa said, "In the past 3 months I have had the opportunity to meet some really nice people, I have learnt a lot from my experience of being in the Perfect Bride house. I wish every girl could get a chance to get a fairy tale wedding like mine, I truly thank the 'parkhis' for making me realize what's important and lastly Star Plus for creating a show like Perfect Bride and that gave me a chance to meet my husband."
