“Ronopoly” Ronaldo on ‘property buying’ spree!
London, Feb 4: Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo is being dubbed "Ronopoly" - all thanks to his `hobby' of buying properties.
The Man Utd ace has already bought four pads and is currently spending thousands of money out on a hotel - just like in the board game.
The 24-year-old is reportedly planning to put 8million pounds into a hotel boasting sea views on Porto Santo, an island near his native Madeira.
The hunk already owns a 4-million pound mansion in Cheshire and a string of pads abroad, reports the Sun.
A United insider said: "If he carries on like this he'll have more properties than a Monopoly board.
"One of the lads joked he should be called Ronopoly, but these are good investments. It's all very well buying cars and gadgets but a property portfolio could yield huge returns in the future."
Apparently, Ronaldo is also set to build a 6.1-million pound home in Portugal.
He already owns a villa and a flat near Lisbon, has bought a house in Madeira for his mum and invested in boutiques for his sister.
The insider added: "A few years ago he was a teenager living in digs. Now he has the world at his feet."
The game called Monopoly was patented in America in the 1930s and now has dozens of international versions including Portuguese. (ANI)
