With the rise in dollar index, Crude oil prices go down

Crude oil pricesAs the dollar index rose 0.16 percent, Crude oil prices fell to just under $84 per barrel Monday on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

In Asia and Europe, stocks were mostly higher Monday. But on Wall Street, stocks were flat to start the week.

Crude oil prices for June delivery lost 24 cents from a late settlement to $83.96 per barrel.

In New York, heating oil prices for June lost 0.0022 cents to $2.2615 per gallon.

Ending the day at $2.3447 per gallon, reformulated gasoline blend-stock prices for June lost 0.0006 cents.

Sliding by 0.033 cents, Henry Hub natural gas prices for June closed at $4.318 per million British thermal units.

According to the reports of AAA, at the pump, the national average price for unleaded gasoline was $2.854 per gallon Monday, unchanged from Sunday. (With Inputs from Agencies)
