Washington, Mar 23: Sir Paul McCartney’s ex-wife Heather Mills has landed a lucrative deal to promote vegetarian food for fast food chain Burger King.

According to the UK’s The People, the 41-year-old former model has apparently inked a 4.3 million dollars deal to promote Burger King’s new meat free burgers at the company''''s 11,350 outlets throughout the world.

“Heather is ecstatic, Contactmusic quoted a source as saying.

Washington, Mar. 23: President Barack Obama has said that the United States must look for a way out of the war in Afghanistan, suggesting that the military build-up in that landlocked country will not be open-ended.

“There’s got to be an exit strategy. There’s got to be a sense that this is not perpetual drift,” Obama told “60 Minutes” on CBS in a wide-ranging interview.

Washington  - Tens of thousands of protestors in Washington and California carried banners and shouted slogans Saturday, calling for an end to the war in Iraq.

The protests marked the sixth anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq on March 20, 2003.

The ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) Coalition said more than 10,000 people marched towards the Pentagon and corporations in Virginia such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics and KBR, which the demonstrators called "merchants of death."

Washington  - At least 5,000 residents were evacuated in eastern Pennsylvania after a truck carrying 33,000 pounds of toxic hydrofluoric acid overturned early Saturday.

Driver Raymond Leblanc, 54, of Ontario, Canada, lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid hitting a deer. He was initially trapped in the truck, but was rescued unhurt. Another passenger was also removed from the site and no other injuries were reported, police said.

Most of the acid was in the form of pressurized gas, police told broadcaster CNN and the leak was plugged eight and a half hours after the trailer overturned near Wind Gap, Pennsylvania.

Washington - Bonuses paid to top officials at ailing insurer American International Group Inc (AIG) were higher than previously reported, a Connecticut state prosecutor told CNN Saturday.

AIG employees received 218 million dollars in bonuses in recent months, higher than the 165 million dollars previously reported, Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal told the broadcaster, citing information he'd gathered from subpoenaed documents.
