Washington, Oct 9 : India has said that its concerns on certain provisions of the bill have been met with President George W Bush’s assurance on fuel supplies and “advanced consent” to it for reprocessing after the US President signed into law the legislation on the nuclear deal as a new beginning in bilateral ties.
Absolutely, remarked Indian Ambassador to the US Ronen Sen when asked by reporters if the US President’s address at the signing of the legislation met all of India’s concerns.
“I think the statement (of Bush) speaks for itself... all concerns that have been expressed who fear the implications of certain elements of the legislation. All those have been met, Sen said in response to a query on fuel supply assurances.
Washington, Oct 9: US presidential hopeful Barack Obama has revealed that he is having a tough time getting rid of smoking – but has still not giving up the hope of kicking the butt.
Barack, 47, told Men’s Health magazine he is trying to set an example by kicking the bad habit.
"There have been a couple of times during the campaign when I fell off the wagon and bummed one, and I had to kick it again," People magazine quoted Barack, as telling the mag.
Washington, Oct 9 : US President George W Bush has signed into law the legislation to implement the historic Indo-US civil nuclear deal assuring there are “no changes” in fuel supply commitments as provided in the 123 Agreement.
“This legislation does not change the fuel assurance commitments that the US government has made to the Government of India as recorded in the 123 Agreement,” Bush said allaying India''s fears on issues relating to fuel supplies.
Washington, October 9 : Scientists at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies have found that a class of spinal cord nerve cells, known as V3 neurons, ensure that co-ordination between the left and right sides of the body to facilitate walking and running.
The V3 neurons also ensure that the stepping rhythm is robust and well-organized, said the researchers.
"V3 neurons provide an additional level of control, which makes sure that when you walk and run, the intensity of the activity is matched on both sides of the body. If that were not the case, we would be unable to walk or run along a straight line," said research leader Dr. Martyn Goulding, a professor in the Molecular Neurobiology Laboratory.
Washington, Oct 9 : Even though the Bush administration was “not interested” (in its help), after the 9/11 air attacks, Iran had provided it with key assistance in identifying hundreds of Arabs to counter terrorist organization Al Qaeda, by sending copies of passports of around 300 passports, revealed a former US administration official.
With the objective of having a broader relationship with the US, Iran also denied sanctuary to suspected al Qaeda operatives, added the former US official.
On the basis of the copies of passports, the US investigators interrogated these Arab nationals and even expelled many.
