Stars scrambled for the freebies at Sundance

Sundance sales lag on economy; Obama inauguration eyed New York, Jan 26 : Many of Hollywood's D-listers were spotted stocking up on the freebies that were being given out at Sundance, with some of the bigger stars also taking their share.

One such celeb was Cameron Diaz, who even though she was in Utah skiing and not attending the Sundance events, still requested for a bag from the Rock band Lounge.

‘Black Lips’ cut short India tour

Washington, January 26 : Rockers `Black Lips' abandoned their seven-date India tour in between following troubles with the police over their raunchy onstage behaviour.

The band, who had been half-way through the tour, had reportedly incurred the wrath of promoters after its guitarist Cole Alexander stripped and jumped into the crowd at their Chennai concert on January 23.

Alexander was said to have later got back onstage and kissed his fellow band members, according to Indiecision. com.

Enraged promotion company executives had allegedly called in the police and put off the rest of the tour - driving the band to flee the nation.

David Bowie in talks to reprise rock star ego at music festival

Washington, January 26 : David Bowie is reportedly being approached to reprise his legendary Ziggy Stardust persona for an exclusive headline performance at a U. S. music festival.

The 62-year-old musician had abandoned his theatrical rock star ego in 1973, alleging that the character, which went on to become a rage, came in the way of his creativity.

And Bowie, who is presently working on a new album, was reportedly lending an ear to the organisers of this year''s Coachella event in California over a one-off appearance.

"Coachella tried to book Bowie last year and he refused, so they got Prince to headline instead," Contactmusic quoted a source as telling British newspaper the Daily Star.

In an interview with Newsweek, the 45-year old actor claimed the burdens of stardom claming that the "publicity machine is out of control."

"It''s everything we didn''t sign up for," the New York Daily News quoted him as saying, referring to the press tours that come with releasing a film.
