British forces training Pak Frontier Corps to cope with insurgencyLondon, Mar. 21 : After reports of US security officials imparting training to the Pakistan military, it has now been revealed that a team of British military personnel is also working with the Pak Frontier Corps (FC), The Times Online reports.

"A small team of conventional British military personnel is working in a Frontier Corps training school, conducting mutual co-operation training to assist the Frontier Corps in enhancing its capability," a British High Commission spokesperson in Islamabad said.

According to www. youngpoll. com, one in three children feel "alone" without the phone and almost half sleep next to it.

Children spend nearly six hours on mobiles a day - talking, texting and playing music or games, the study found.

The survey also found that kids send as many as 19 texts and make eight calls a day.

The firm was forced to pull some of the images from the street-mapping facility following complaints.

It is thought that the pictures removed contained revealing images of homes, a man entering a London sex shop, people being arrested and a man being sick.

"We''ve got millions of images, so the percentage removed was very small," Google''s Laura Scott told the BBC.

The officials have put this threat at the top end of `severe', the third of four risk levels which rate an attack `highly likely', sources said.

Africa’s first bird extinction likely within four yearsLondon, March 21 : A new study has warned that Africa might soon see its first bird extinction in about four years time.

According to a report in New Scientist, the bird in question is the Sidamo lark, which may become the first contemporary African bird to go extinct.

The lark is adapted to Ethiopia's "rangeland" - the savannah of native grasses that traditionally covered large parts of east Africa, but is now rapidly disappearing.
