London, Mar. 26 : The Gloucestershire County Council has been slammed for advertising for a "Recession Support Coordinator" - with a salary of up to 39,999 pounds.

The position is taxpayer-funded position and involves identifying how the recession is affecting the community, reports The Telegraph.

The move has sparked criticism in a county where more than 2,000 people have been made redundant since last October.

London, Mar. 26 : Over a year, the average Brit queues up for more than 67 hours or almost three days, a report in The Telegraph says.

The poll of 3,000 Britons revealed the biggest amount of time spent queuing is to pay for the weekly shop, accounting for almost 53 minutes each month.

A further 33 minutes is spent waiting to pay for items such as clothes and DVDs in shops and we queue for 35 minutes every month to get a drink in a bar or pub.

London, Mar 26 : Prosecutors in Florida are taking a new look at the 2007 death of Anna Nicole Smith.

It has emerged that Broward County prosecutors recently met with authorities in Los Angeles and the California Department of Justice.

The move follows the indictment March 13 in California of Smith''s former boyfriend Howard K. Stern and two doctors in connection with her death, reports Sky News.

Smith was found unconscious in her room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino near Hollywood, Florida, in February 2007.

Medics tried to revive her but failed.

A post-mortem found she died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs including anti-depressants.

London, Mar. 26 : Cycling champion Lance Armstrong’s broken collarbone will take at least eight weeks to heal, a surgeon who operated on him, has said.

Seven-time Tour de France champion Armstrong yesterday had successful surgery on the injury he suffered in a crash on Monday.

Armstrong, 37, had a five-inch stainless steel plate and 12 screws inserted to repair the collarbone, which was broken in four places.
