London, Nov 2 : The first child-friendly audio guide for car satnavs has been launched in the UK.

It pinpoints places of interest, tells youngsters exactly how far away it is, and offers an entertaining commentary as the driver approaches the location.

The creators of the RoadTour Child Friendly Driving Guide, dubbed the ''totnav'', are positive their recommendations will be a hit - because they took advice from their target audience.

Over the five years it took to create the device, the company surveyed children to gauge their reactions about tourist attractions.

As well as pointing to 3,000 places of interest, the totnav gives information on opening times and entrance costs.

David Schwimmer quashes ‘Friends’ movie claims

London, November 2 : David Schwimmer, who shot to fame after playing ‘Ross Geller’ in the immensely popular sitcom ‘Friends’, has dismissed rumours claiming a movie adaptation of the hit series.

The 42-year-old held the media responsible for perpetrating speculations that the ‘Friends’ cast would reunite for one last time to star in its film version.

However, the ‘Nothing But The Truth’ actor insisted that such reunion plans were never on the cards.

"I''d like to say in regard to the rumours that - I think are only perpetuated by the press - there''s never been any talk of a Friends film, at least as far as I know,” the Daily Star quoted him as telling the Parade magazine.

According to boffins, skills in "emotional intelligence" can make a difference of an entire grade, i. e. from B to A.

The study’s scientists reckon that the reason behind the findings could be that emotional intelligence allows pupils to manage stress more easily and also to understand the long term consequences of doing well at school.

An hour’s lie-in on Mondays can reduce heart attack risk

London, Nov 2 : An hour''''s lie-in on Monday mornings can help cut the risk of having a heart attack, suggests a new study.

According to boffins, Mondays are a peak time for heart attacks due to the stress of the morning commute, the first workday of the week and fatigue from the weekend.

To reach the conclusion, the research team examined the number of heart attacks suffered in the week after the Spring and Autumn clock changes, compared to the same days of the week at other times.

After analysing, the research team found that the number of heart attacks increased in the days after the clocks went back in the Spring and decreased slightly on the Monday following the Autumn change when the clocks go forward by an hour.
