New Delhi, Aug 28 : The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will organise a two-day workshop on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) at Baroda in Gujarat from tomorrow.
The workshop is intended to give an overview of application of IFRS in Indian scenario.
It will focus more on concepts that are relatively new under Indian GAAP and on topics which by and large potentially impact the net worth and profit or loss under more common situations.
Nationally renowned experts having in-depth knowledge, experience and expertise about the IFRS will address the workshop.
Patna, Aug 28 : Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will today undertake an aerial survey of flood-affected areas of Bihar.
After a day-long aerial survey, Dr. Singh is scheduled to review the relief and rescue measures launched by the State Government at a high-level meeting with senior officials.

New Delhi, Aug 27 : Justice Ashok Kumar Mathur, a retired judge of the Supreme Court has been appointed as Chairperson of the Armed Forces Tribunal.
The tenure of appointment of Justice Mathur as Chairperson in the Armed Forces Tribunal will be for a period of four years from the date of assumption of the charge of post or till he attains the age of 70 years whichever is earlier.
Born on August 7, 1943, Justice Mathur was elevated as Judge of the Supreme Court on June 7, 2004 and retired from there on August 6.
Adelaide, Aug 27 : A 34-week pregnant Australian woman of India origin this morning gave birth onboard a flight from Hong Kong to Adelaide with the help of doctors who were also onboard the same flight. Both the mother and the baby body are reportedly doing well.
