Qatar Airways All Set To Add 14 Additional Flights By Next Month
Qatar Airways, on Monday, has declared that it would raise the frequency of its daily flights from the three Indian cities including Delhi, Amritsar and Cochin by the coming month (September 2010).
Gulf-based full service air carrier stated that it will start 14 extra flights from these cities.
It added that the occurrence of the flights from these stations would be augmented in phases, starting next month.
With the addition of these new (14) flights, the overall number of services to-and-from India offered by the Airways would surge to 88 flights on a weekly basis
Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways, Chief Executive Officer, stated, "Taking into account the new upcoming frequencies, we are enhancing capacity from India from 56 to 88 services a week."
Starting from the coming month, the flight from Amritsar to Doha will run as a daily flight from the subsisting four days a week.
With the declaration of novel flights, each of the 11 Indian spots will be functioned daily non-stop, excluding Delhi and Cochin, which will have a dual daily service and 11 flights per week respectively.
Mr. Baker added that the company presently operates scheduled flights to 92 destinations across the world.
