The Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd (PSTL) has pulled out of all businesses in Northern and Western India by shutting down 33 screens. Owing to inflation and economic slowdown, the company has decided to focus on its core strength i.e. South India Media and Entertainment. PSTL, which had distributed just 4 Hindi films so far namely -Jimmy,Mukhbir,Sirf,Halla Bol , has discontinued its plan to start production in bollywood.

However; the company now plans to use its energy in developing business in Malaysia and China because of the support provided by the Ministry of Culture. Also the interest in US shall be continued without any hindrance. The company proposes not to venture into acquisitions in the UK and Europe. As a result of such plans the company hopes to excel in its business in South India.
