Punjab Ministry -100 veterinary inspectors in seekingFrom a recent report comes the news from Punjab Government who soon will recruit 100 veterinarians and 130 veterinary inspectors to ensure an ease in running the husbandry department.

Animal Husbandry minister Gulzar Singh Ranike says it is the need of the hour that gives a call to 100 veterinarians and 130 veterinary inspectors who will facilitate farmers in operating the animal husbandry department.

This move comes with the crunch which was witnessed at the Government veterinary hospitals in rural areas, where no vet experts were found which led to a rise in case of animal deaths. With the current step taken the farmers can breathe an air of relive and can have their animals traded at these hospitals.

However the progress in matter has already seen a nod in case of appointment of staff in the veterinary department from the Punjab Cabinet, says the Minister.

In lieu of this matter an institute worth Rs 2.70-crore for dairy farming to impart basic training to farmers and village youths, including women, to initiate business of milk production was also opened. The ribbon cutting was done by the Minister itself.
