PS Vita might be more successful than Nintendo 3DS, EA Labels president
EA Labels president, Mr. Frank Gibeau has said that he believes that Sony's PS Vita gaming console has better chances of succeeding than rival Nintendo's 3DS mainly due to the launch titles associated with the products.
He said that Vita is better positioned because it has a stronger list of accompanying titles at launch. He said PSP devices have reached larger audience in Europe when compared to the North America and it has a good chance of succeeding.
"I don't think Vita is in quite in the same boat as the 3DS. The 3DS was a really interesting piece of technology but I think there was some confusion over it and the title slate was a little different," he said.
He credited innovation at the heart of PS Vita for its success. He said that the Japanese major has good innovation in control scheme, the technology and the screen. The device also allows users to be connected with each other through social features.
"We're going to publish a few games on it and see how it develops," added Mr. Gibeau.
