New Delhi, Aug 27 : Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee Saturday initiated a debate in the Lok Sabha on the Lokpal bill.

He began by recounting the chain of events since Anna Hazare first went on fast at the Jantar Mantar here April 9.

The house is expected to debate the issue and then pass a resolution on the Lokpal bill Saturday evening.(IANS)
